I was born in Yorkshire but now live in a lovely part of Leicestershire, right on the edge of the national forest. I have three children. The eldest, my beautiful daughter, passed away after battling with cancer for almost four years. I live with my other two teenage children, my husband, two boxer dogs and five free range hens that dig up my garden, poo on my patio but give me the best fresh eggs i’ve ever tasted!

Hi Sherley
I have just discovered your website and am interested in kefir and am wondering if you are still willing to send a ‘baby’ grain in an SAE and if so, could I please have the address to which the SAE needs to be sent.
Hope the reason that you have not been blogging lately is that you are busy with your grandchildren and that fate has not been unkind to you again. I feel for you losing a daughter although I was never so blessed myself. An old schoolfriend with whom I am back in touch after an absence of nearly 4 decades had lost a daughter who was a young mother of a 10 year old – somewhat older than your daughter – to a very aggressive cancer. My friend and her family emigrated to South Africa in the 70′s when I was in Germany as an au pair and I had no idea that she had left the country. No wonder I couldn’t find her!!
Anyway, thank you for all your information in your blogs. I have downloaded some information that I intend to follow up and I have bookmarked your site for the occasional look-up in case you come up with some more money saving and/or interesting ideas and recipes.

I wouold love to have some of the Kefir grains. Where do I send my SAE to? I am interested for myself and family, my daughters 8 mo. old daughter cannot tolerate any formulas she is breastfeeding but needs to supplement sometimes. Thanks Kim
